Hi Thira, with regards to Scrabble Assistant – when will you be updating the sowpods/collins dictionary to CSW12?
Thanks,
Janet
Hi Janet,
I am planning to update Scrabble Assistant with the new CSW12 word list within the next 1-2 weeks. Keep an eye on my blog or my Google+ page (https://plus.google.com/u/0/106475599767147024915/) for more news.
Have a great weekend!
Thira.
Hi Janet, I released a newer version few days ago with support for CSW12. Cheers.
Hi Thira –
I have the full version of Scrabblet (using TWL) and cannot get the pattern match to find words longer than 6 letters even though the Pattern Length setting is Any. For example if I type SNOW* or even SNOWMA? it will not find SNOWMAN. Is this a bug? I didn’t see another place to report problems.
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
It appears to be a bug and thanks for reporting it. I am working on getting a new release out by the end of next week, and will do my best to fix this. Can you also tell me the dictionary you are using (OWL or CWS) please?
Thanks!
Thira.
Hey –
I’m using TWL (US). Thanks. I have one other request for you to consider. In earlier versions it would forget the dictionary and revert to Collins pretty often, so I got worried about which list I was searching and always double-checked the settings. That seems fixed, but it there room on the screens to display the current dictionary? Maybe like “Scrabble Assistant -> Pattern Match (TWL)” or something?
Good app by the way. Thanks!
John
Thanks for that John. I will definitely include the currently selected dictionary details on the UI (either title or right below it). Please feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Cheers,
Thira.
The latest version of Scrabble Assistant (and Scrabble Assistant Pro) – v 2.0.0 – was released on January 6th 2012. Special thanks to John and Janet for their suggestions!
